# MindOS Overview #

## Personal AI ##

**Definition:** Your digital extension for daily tasks. It learns your preferences for personalized service and is designed to collaborate with specialized agents for complex tasks in the near future.

### Abilities ###

#### Customized Newsletter ####

**Definition:** Get your customized daily newsletter with Personal AI. Discover Tech, Sports, or Crypto news, shaped for your perspective and passion.

**Step-by-step walkthrough:**

Navigate to the **Abilities** tab within Personal AI. In the **Automation** section, you’ll find the **Customized Newsletter** ability. Switch it on.
2. 2.

You’ll be presented with a list of popular topics. Choose those that resonate with your interests, such as AI, Crypto, or Tech. Alternatively, you can manually input any specific topic of your choice.
3. 3.

Dive deeper into your news experience! Whether you’re an investor eyeing the latest market trends, or a product manager keen on tech innovations, Personal AI lets you select a perspective that mirrors your role or passion.

Once you’ve made your selections, click **\[Save\]**. By default, your tailored newsletter will appear in the **Pins** page every day. Of course, if you prefer to have this newsletter delivered straight to your email, ensure the **\[Copy to email\]** option is toggled on.

### Memories ###

**definition:** Personal AI’s Memories function as your custom digital vault, storing and organizing important information and preferences. It learns from each interaction and edit, ensuring your AI becomes a more insightful companion over time. Fine-tune Memories to enhance your Personal AI’s understanding of you.

## Canvas ##

**Definition:** An intuitive interface where your Genius ‘sees’ what you do, enabling real-time collaboration on discussing reports, dissecting papers, or exploring webpages.

**How to use:**

* Accessing Canvas: Find Canvas in the sidebar and click **\[Canvas\]** to open it.
* Opening Files: Hover over a file or report and click **\[Zoom In\]** to view it in Canvas.
* Collaborative Interaction: In Canvas, use the **\[Quote\]** button to discuss specific text or images with your Genius in real-time.
* Editing Files: Hover and click **\[Help me edit\]** to modify text or add content with your Genius’s assistance. After edits, click **\[Relearn\]** to update your Genius with the changes.
* Opening Links: Click **\[Zoom In\]** on any web link in chat to explore it within Canvas.
* Webpage Interaction: Navigate the webpage in Canvas or convert it to a document for deeper analysis.

## Create ##

**Definition:** At the bottom, MindOS is an open and powerful AI Agent creation engine. And users can create their own very unique Geniuses by customizing the following modules:

### Persona ###

**Definition:** Craft a unique identity for your Genius. Define its personality, goals, and motivations. Whether you want your Genius to be a sarcastic comedian or a wise elder, it’s all up to you!

#### **Avatar** ####

**Definition:** The visual representation of your Genius. Can be images or 3D models.

**How to use**

* Image: select an image from our official collection or upload your own.
* 3D avatar: select an 3D avatar from our official collection or import your own customized 3D models from Ready Player Me.

#### Voice ####

* Choose a voice for your Genius, adjusting for gender, tone, pitch, and speed.
* Some voices can convey emotions for more natural interactions.

#### Biography ####

* Craft a backstory in the ‘Biography’ section to define your Genius’s identity.
* Include motivations, likes/dislikes, and formative experiences.
* Write in the third person and use ‘@’ to refer to your Genius.

#### Greeting ####

* Set a unique greeting to make a strong first impression.
* Use a question at the end of the greeting to guide the conversation.

#### General Instructions ####

* Establish rules and behaviors for your Genius in ‘General Instruction’.
* Address the Genius as ‘You’ and start each instruction on a new line.
* Specify content style, such as detailed responses or Markdown formatting.
* Include instructions on tone, topics to avoid, and emoji use.

### Knowledge ###

**Definition:** Equip your Genius with tailored knowledge by linking web pages or uploading documents, just as you’d coach a new intern or guide a Padawan. Watch your Genius excel in credibility.

**How to use**

Adding Knowledge:

* Upload webpages/local files directly into the Knowledge section.

Updating Knowledge:

* Regularly review and update entries to maintain accuracy.
* Remove outdated information and add new insights as needed.

Querying Knowledge:

* Use targeted prompts to retrieve information from the Knowledge base.
* Incorporate tags in your queries to narrow down search results.

### API Skills ###

**Definition:** API skills let your Genius tap into a wide range of platforms, websites, and apps, allowing them to fetch diverse information and interact with multiple services.

**How to Use**

Understanding API Skills:

* API Skills allow your Genius to interact with external services and platforms.
* Think of APIs as digital waiters, fetching and delivering data between your Genius and other software.

Adding API Skills:

* Browse the ‘API Library’ for a variety of pre-configured skills.
* Select and add desired API skills to your Genius for enhanced functionality.

Custom API Requests:

* If a needed API skill is missing, contact \[email protected\] with your request.
* For unique needs, guidance will be provided to develop custom API skills.

How to use skills

* Instruct your Genius on when to use specific API skills with clear directives.

Setting Up Shortcuts:

* Convert frequently used API skills and Workflows into clickable shortcuts.
* Once set, these shortcuts are placed above the chat bar for easy access by users.

* Workflow is a logic chain that guides your Genius through multi-step tasks.
* It’s like setting up a series of dominoes; each step triggers the next.

Creating a Workflow:

* Use the drag-and-drop interface to arrange components like ‘Browse Webpage’ or ‘Google Image Search’.
* Link these components to form a sequence that your Genius will follow.

Applying Workflows to Tasks:

* Workflows can automate complex tasks, such as data analysis or report generation.

Adding Pre-Made Workflows:

### Memory ###

**Definition:** Make your Genius not only a quick thinker, but an attentive listener too. It can retain details from your conversations and neatly organizes them, bringing them up at just the right moments.

**How to use**

Overview of Memory:

* Memory allows your Genius to retain and recall details from interactions.
* It organizes information to reference in future conversations.

Adding Structured Memory:

* Click \[+ Add Table\] to start creating a Memory table.
* Choose a template or create a custom table with \[Add a raw table\].

Setting Up Memory Tables:

* Name your table and provide a description.
* Define columns with names, descriptions, and data types to guide your Genius on what to remember.

Using Structured Memory:

* Your Genius will use the table setup to organize details from chats.
* Access stored memories by clicking the \[💡\] icon next to the input box.

Understanding Data Types:

* “String” data type (which is used in most cases) is for text or alphanumeric data, like names or descriptions.

Practical Application:

* Use Memory for tasks like tracking shopping wishlists or important dates.

## Marketplace ##

**Definition:** For newcomers to our platform, we suggest kicking off your MindOS journey by exploring the diverse and innovative Geniuses that other users have customized and shared.

**How to use**

Accessing the Marketplace:

* Go to the Marketplace via the top of the page and beside My Team to browse community-created Geniuses.

Interacting with Community Geniuses:

* Review the \[User Guidelines\] for each Genius to understand how to interact with them.
* Use the \[Add to My Team\] button to save Geniuses you like for easy access later.

Contributing Feedback:
